Short answer: Sellerboard is a German SaaS that reconciles Amazon settlement, advertising and inventory data into a net-profit figure per account, product and order, starting at $19/month billed monthly or $15/month billed annually ($179 for the year) as of our check on 2026-08-01. Its four tiers gate volume, not features: the profit dashboard, PPC optimization, inventory management and the reimbursement finder are included from the cheapest tier up. The recurring complaint in the critical-review record is neither price nor missing features — it is trust in the number itself, and support that several reviewers say went quiet when they questioned it.
This review covers the product, not the category — our Amazon profit dashboard guide compares how rival tools track the same metrics, and Sellerboard alternatives ranked by why you are leaving picks up if you have already decided to go.
What Sellerboard Is
Sellerboard describes itself as “a Germany-based Software-as-a-Service. Founded in 2017, we help 20K+ e-commerce sellers worldwide optimize profitability with real-time profit analytics, cost tracking, PPC analytics, inventory management, and other automation tools” (sellerboard.com, checked 2026-08-01). The 20K+ figure is the vendor’s own and unaudited. Published modules, in the vendor’s labels:
| Module | What the vendor says it does |
|---|---|
| Profit dashboard | Sales, orders, refunds, ad costs, “estimated payout” and net profit at account, product and order level |
| COGS management | Costs set as constant, by period, by batch, or FIFO |
| Indirect expenses | Recurring and one-time costs (rent, photography, VAs), with amortization |
| Inventory management | Advance stock shortage estimates, COGS by batch, purchase order planning |
| PPC optimization | Campaign, ad-group and keyword KPIs, plus automated bidding “based on target profitability or ACOS” |
| Refunds for lost inventory | Finds FBA errors so you can “request your money back directly through Seller Support” |
| Alerts | Listing edits, new sellers, loss of Buy Box, fee changes, negative feedback, ASIN changes |
| Also included | Review-request autoresponder, spreadsheet export, LTV dashboard, role-based access, iOS and Android apps |
Two behave differently from how the marketing reads. The reimbursement module finds cases and hands them back to you — you request the money “directly through Seller Support.” And the PPC module can change bids automatically. A tool that writes to your ad account is a different risk category from one that only reads.
What Sellerboard Costs
Fact block, checked 2026-08-01 against the price table on sellerboard.com
— there is no /pricing/ page; the table sits on the homepage. EU prices are net, VAT may be added.
| Tier | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Orders / month | Follow-up emails / month | Additional seller accounts | Additional users | Automated reports |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $19/mo | $15/mo ($179/yr) | 3,000 | 150 | 4 | 1 | 3 |
| Professional | $29/mo | $23/mo ($279/yr) | 6,000 | 6,000 | 6 | 2 | 6 |
| Business | $39/mo | $31/mo ($369/yr) | 15,000 | 15,000 | 8 | 4 | 8 |
| Enterprise | $79/mo | $63/mo ($759/yr) | 50,000 | 30,000 | 16 | 4 | 16 |
The trial is “1 month free trial” with “No credit card required. Cancel anytime.” (sellerboard.com, checked 2026-08-01).
The part most reviews skip: the tiers gate volume, not capability. As of 2026-08-01 the real-time profit dashboard, listing change alerts, PPC optimization, inventory management, refunds for lost inventory and the LTV dashboard are all marked Included from Standard upward. One row differs: “Manage users access rights by account, marketplaces and products” is Not included on Standard, Professional and Business, and Included only on Enterprise.
Two ceilings are easy to miss. Standard allows 150 follow-up emails a month against 3,000 orders — a sample, not a full autoresponder programme; Professional is where email volume matches order volume. And a footnote reads “sellerboard supports accounts with maximum of 30 000 products,” a catalogue ceiling no tier raises.
How the Profit Number Is Built
Sellerboard’s pitch against Seller Central is consolidation. Its FAQ puts it directly: the Profit Dashboard “combines fees, ads, refunds, VAT/GST, shipping costs, and COGS into one view so you always know your exact net profit” (sellerboard.com/en/faq/ , checked 2026-08-01).
Three inputs decide whether that number is right, and two are yours, not the vendor’s:
- Amazon’s data. Settlement, advertising and inventory feeds arrive through Amazon’s APIs. Sellerboard publishes no data refresh cadence and no verifiable accuracy measure — no SLA, no stated error rate — on the homepage or the FAQ as of 2026-08-01; what both pages carry is marketing language such as “maximum accuracy.” The one figure it labels an estimate is “estimated payout.”
- Your cost of goods. Constant, period, batch and FIFO models are supported, FIFO pitched on the homepage as “the most precise way to reflect real inventory flow and changing purchase prices”; the FAQ explains why — “Costs often change over time, but Seller Central doesn’t track them.” Nothing populates this for you, and a blank COGS field raises no error. It just yields a profit figure that is really gross revenue minus fees.
- Your indirect expenses. Rent, freelancers, photography and software appear only if you enter and amortize them.
What Critical Reviewers Say
Read the denominator first. Our corpus for this page holds 20 critical Sellerboard reviews — 1-to-3-star or otherwise negative posts, collected in a wider pain-mining sweep across 89 seller tools. It is a complaint sample by construction: it shows what goes wrong and how often those failures resemble each other, and says nothing about the ratio of happy to unhappy customers. This section is not a rating.
Of the 20: 9 from Trustpilot, 4 from Capterra, 2 from the Chrome Web Store listing, and 5 search-result digests we could not trace to a named review site — we attribute those five to no platform. Eleven were captured verbatim, eight of which are quoted directly below; the other nine — the four Capterra items and the five unattributed ones — are search-result digests and are only paraphrased. Eleven carry a date, spanning 2020-03-18 to 2026-05-13, five of them inside the twelve months before this review.
Wrong or missing numbers — 7 of the 20. The theme that matters most for a tool whose whole job is arithmetic. A reviewer of the companion sellerboard Amazon FBA Profit Calculator extension wrote: “Didn’t work. Showing everything 0 for all products.” (Chrome Web Store, 1 star, 2024-10-08; that listing shows 4.2 from 20 ratings across 7,000 users, last updated 7 March 2025, checked 2026-08-01 — a separate product from the web app.) A two-year customer said the tool had spent the previous month “constantly inaccurately showing our costs” (Trustpilot, 2 stars, 2025-11-24). Another described a stuck import: “It has been 3 weeks and my issue is this not fixed. All our marketing expenses are wrongly imported. Making this tool unuable.” (Trustpilot, 1 star, 2025-12-01; spelling as posted.) An earlier post: “They messed up margin calculations for a few of my products, couldn’t tell me why, and support was being dismissive of any questions about the matter…” (Trustpilot, 1 star, 2023-07-26.)
Support that goes quiet — 9 of the 20. The most frequent theme, usually riding alongside an accuracy complaint rather than standing alone: “customer support in non-existent, with AI-responses and no fixes” (Trustpilot, 2 stars, 2025-11-24); “Good program but very bad customer service” (Trustpilot, 1 star, 2023-07-04). Set that against the vendor’s own homepage commitment — “Got a question? Drop us an email at [email protected] - we’ll get back to you within 24 hours!” (checked 2026-08-01). For balance, a 3-star reviewer who could not reach support later appended: “Since ticket they have responded and extended my trial and helped me request a refresh of PPC data. Took a few days but all good.” (Trustpilot, 2025-08-21.)
A dashboard that has grown slow — 3 of the 20. The most recent dated post rates the data highly and the interface poorly: “The tool and data is good, but the site and dashboard are horribly slow. Almost unworkable… from time to time it randomly deselects filters so if you dont pay attention every second you might just mess up your data or analysis.” (Trustpilot, 3 stars, 2026-05-13; spelling as posted.)
The bolt-on modules — 3 of the 20. The autoresponder and PPC optimizer draw complaints out of proportion to their share of the price. One reviewer reported the autoresponder not sending at all (Trustpilot, 1 star, 2026-03-29); another that “The PPC optimization toll messed up my amazon marketing campaigns” and advised bidding manually instead (Trustpilot, 1 star, 2023-07-29; spelling as posted).
Billing mechanics — 1 of the 20. A 2023-01-15 post describes being unable to turn off auto-renewal or delete a stored card, and a renewal charged against a card the reviewer believed had expired; a refund was issued. The four Capterra items are milder still: a learning curve on the advanced reports, plus requests for role-based dashboard views and a customer-searchable order list.
The Reimbursement Module, Specifically
Plenty of sellers keep a Sellerboard subscription mainly for one module: the reimbursement finder. It scans for FBA discrepancies — including cases where Amazon reimbursed less than your COGS — and prepares them so you can file through Seller Support yourself. It does not submit claims for you, and it is included on every tier.
If that module is the main value you get, a single-purpose auditor covers the same job without a suite around it. ReimburseOps , for instance, works from the CSV reimbursement reports you export from Seller Central rather than connecting to your account, ranks flagged records by severity, and states that it takes “No commission, ever” on what you recover; its free tier runs the full ruleset but shows only three flagged records in full, with a $19/month Pro tier for the rest, monthly rescans and claim-ready exports (reimburseops.com, checked 2026-07-27). It is not a profit dashboard and will not replace SKU-level P&L — the comparison matters only if reimbursements, not profit reporting, were why you subscribed.
Sellerboard Across Our Eight Dimensions
We score every tool on Accuracy, Ease, Depth, Automation, Team Fit, Support, Pricing and Stage Fit (see our scoring methodology ). This assessment draws on Sellerboard’s published capabilities (sellerboard.com, checked 2026-08-01) and the dated public reviews above. It is not a hands-on benchmark — no one on this side has run a settlement period through the product.
- Accuracy — what it is sold on, and what the complaints target. FIFO, batch and period costing across 100+ fee types beats most tools at four times the price. Against that sit dated reports of imports landing wrong and staying wrong for weeks.
- Ease — good for the core view, a curve past it. The main dashboard is why people recommend it to beginners; reviewers who go deeper describe advanced reports that take time to learn.
- Depth — high for the price band. Order-level drill-down, indirect expense amortization, LTV, per-keyword PPC KPIs and a 30,000-product ceiling.
- Automation — present, and the riskiest part. Bid optimization against a target ACOS is real automation, not reporting, and the module with the sharpest complaints.
- Team Fit — capped below Enterprise. Additional users run 1 / 2 / 4 / 4 across the tiers; granular permissions exist only on Enterprise.
- Support — the weakest reported dimension. A published 24-hour email commitment against a sample whose most frequent theme is that commitment not being met, including in 2025 posts.
- Pricing — the strongest dimension. Published tiers and caps, a month-long trial with no card, no feature paywall below Enterprise, no sales call.
- Stage Fit — Foundation and Growth. Under 3,000 orders a month you get the whole feature set for $15/month annually; past 50,000 orders or 30,000 products you are at the edge of these tiers.
Who It Fits
A reasonable fit if you are under roughly 15,000 orders a month and want profit after fees without a sales call; can keep COGS current, ideally by batch or FIFO.
It will probably frustrate you if you need granular permissions below Enterprise; run a catalogue near 30,000 products; want a named human in support; or need the autoresponder at full order volume on the cheapest tier.

What to Test During the Free Month
In order:
- Enter COGS for your top 20 SKUs by revenue first, using batch or FIFO if purchase prices have moved. Skipping it produces most false accuracy complaints; our COGS guide for FBA sellers covers what belongs in the figure.
- Reconcile one closed settlement period end to end. Compare Sellerboard’s fee total against that period’s Seller Central payment report, and check refunds and FBA and referral fees line up within a few percent. This is the test that answers the question in the title.
- Check ad spend separately against the Advertising Console for the same period.
- Open one real support ticket — a genuine question about a discrepancy from step 2 — and time the reply against the published 24-hour commitment. While you are in settings, confirm you can turn off auto-renewal and remove your card before the trial converts.
- Leave automated bidding off until steps 2 and 3 reconcile. A bid engine driven by an unverified profit figure optimizes toward the wrong target.
If steps 2 and 3 do not reconcile once COGS and ad linkage are correct, that is a real finding, and the alternatives ranked by reason for leaving is the next page to read.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Sellerboard cost? Four tiers, published on sellerboard.com and checked 2026-08-01: Standard $19/month monthly or $15/month annually ($179/year), Professional $29 or $23 ($279/year), Business $39 or $31 ($369/year), Enterprise $79 or $63 ($759/year). They differ by order volume, follow-up email allowance, extra seller accounts, extra users and automated reports. EU prices are net of VAT.
Does Sellerboard have a free trial? Yes — “1 month free trial” with “No credit card required. Cancel anytime.” (sellerboard.com, checked 2026-08-01).
Is Sellerboard accurate? Its cost engine supports FIFO, batch and period costing across 100+ Amazon fee types, which is a strong foundation, but the output also depends on inputs only you supply: COGS, inbound shipping, indirect expenses and linked advertising. The critical-review record contains dated reports of imports landing wrong and staying wrong for weeks, so verify against one settlement period during the free month rather than assuming either answer.
Which Sellerboard plan do I need? Start from order volume, not features — every tier carries the same modules. Go above Standard past 3,000 orders a month, 150 follow-up emails, or one additional user.
