The short answer: Sell The Trend’s entry tier is Lite at $29.97/month, or $19.97/month billed yearly (sellthetrend.com/pricing, checked 2026-08-16) — a figure often quoted second-hand as $39.97, which does not appear anywhere on the vendor’s pricing page today. Lite gets you NEXUS AI product research at 10 uses per day, one connected store, 1-click order fulfilment, and 25 products you can push to that store. What it does not get you is the daily hand-picked winners list, the TikTok ads finder, bulk order fulfilment, advanced filters, dynamic pricing, or the AI supplier finder — those start at Essential ($49.97/month) or Pro ($99.97/month). This page maps every tier against every feature, using the vendor’s own comparison grid.

Sell The Trend publishes three plans and no $0 plan. The Lite card on the pricing page carries three headline bullets — “NEXUS AI Product Discovery”, “Connect 1 Store”, “Automated Order Fulfillment” — and a START NOW FOR FREE button that opens the trial rather than a free tier (checked 2026-08-16).

Expand the plan detail and Lite resolves into something more specific:

  • NEXUS AI Product Research: 10 uses per day. The AI discovery engine that the whole platform is marketed on is metered on the entry plan, not unlimited.
  • Facebook Ads Finder: 5 uses per day. Present, but capped.
  • Store Intelligence Spy Tool: 5 uses per day and Niche Spy: 10 uses per day.
  • 1-Click Push To Store: 25 Products, into 1 connected store.
  • Monitor Products & Stores: 5.
  • AI Credits: 6 credits.
  • Unmetered on every tier including Lite: the Chrome Extension, Import Reviews, the AliExpress, Amazon and CJDropshipping Trend Explorers, Fast Local Shipping Suppliers, Facebook Audience Builder, Influencer Engagement Calculator, AI Brand Builder, AI Competition Explorer, Bulk Add Top 10 Products, the Dropshipping Course, and 24x7 Support.

Every tier is displayed against a higher struck-through price — $29.97 beside $59.97, $49.97 beside $99.97, $99.97 beside $249.97 — and the annual toggle is labelled “Save 33%”. Treat the struck figures as the page’s own comparison anchors, not as prices anyone is being charged today.

Yearly equivalents, same page, same date: Lite $19.97/month, Essential $32.97/month, Pro $66.64/month, all billed annually.

Two rows deserve a note. Connected Stores stays at 1 through Essential — paying $20 more a month does not buy a second storefront; three stores arrive only at Pro. And Staff Accounts shows “Not Included” on all three published plans, so there is no tier on this page that adds a second seat.

The upgrade walls on Lite

Nine features are switched off entirely at $29.97. Grouped by the job they do:

Curated picks. Hand-Picked Winners — the daily expert selection that most Sell The Trend marketing leads with — is absent on Lite, arrives as “1 Expert Selection Per Day” on Essential, and doubles to two on Pro. On Lite you do your own hunting through NEXUS, ten searches a day.

Ad research. Facebook Ads Finder runs on Lite but at five uses a day. TikTok Ads Finder and TikTok Shop Products Finder are Pro-only. If TikTok creative research is your reason for subscribing, your entry price is not $29.97 — it is $99.97/month, or $66.64 billed yearly. That is the single largest gap between the advertised entry price and a common actual use case.

Fulfilment at volume. 1-Click Order Fulfillment is on every tier, but Bulk Order Fulfillment is Pro-only and Automatic Order Update starts at Essential. Lite processes orders one at a time with manual status refreshes — workable at a handful of orders a day, not at fifty.

Supplier and pricing automation. AI Supplier Finder and Dynamic Pricing both start at Essential. So does the store builder: SellShop is not included on Lite at all, which means the “launch a store in 2 minutes” pitch on the homepage assumes at least the $49.97 tier if you do not already have a Shopify or WooCommerce store to connect.

Filtering. Advanced filters start at Essential. On Lite you search the NEXUS database with the basic filter set.

There is a wrinkle worth flagging, because both halves are verbatim from the same page on the same day. The pricing FAQ answers the question “What does the subscription cost include?” with: “The subscription cost includes full access to all features of the Sell The Trend app, including the ecommerce store builder, product research tools, store intelligence, and other core features.” The comparison grid immediately above it shows the ecommerce store builder (SellShop) as not included on Lite. Read the grid, not the FAQ.

The daily caps are the quieter wall

Feature gates are visible on a comparison table. Usage caps are the ones people hit in week two.

On Lite you get 10 NEXUS searches, 5 Store Intelligence lookups and 5 Facebook Ads Finder lookups per day, and 6 AI credits total. A single evening of serious product research — pull a candidate, check who else sells it, look at the ad creative, check the supplier — consumes several of each. All three of those counters go to Unlimited at Essential, which is the real argument for the $20 step up, more than any individual feature.

The AI credits are the sharpest edge. Six credits against Essential’s 20 and Pro’s 40 means the AI writing and brand tooling is closer to a demo than a workflow at the entry price. One Trustpilot reviewer put the complaint plainly on 2026-04-12: “Everything which makes this app unique as regards AI is paid.” That is a third-party account, not our testing — but it lines up exactly with what the credit column shows.

Trial, card and cancellation terms

Sell The Trend’s homepage advertises a “14-Day Free Trial” with “Cancel any time” (sellthetrend.com, checked 2026-08-16). The pricing page FAQ does not state the length, but it does state the mechanics, verbatim:

  • “Yes, a 100 percent free trial is available, allowing you to explore all features before committing to a paid plan.”
  • “No, the free trial is completely free. A payment method is required during signup only to prevent spam and fraud, but no charges are made during the trial period.”
  • “If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, the payment method on file will be charged and your subscription will continue with full access to all features.”
  • “Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time without any long-term commitment.”

The page lists no money-back guarantee and no refund policy (checked 2026-08-16). So the structure is: card on file from day one, auto-conversion at day 14, and cancellation as the only exit. That is ordinary SaaS practice — it matters here only because it is the pattern behind the most common public complaint about this vendor.

What reviewers say about the money

These are third-party accounts from public review platforms, quoted with their original dates and spelling. They are not our own experience.

The billing cluster is the largest. A Trustpilot reviewer on 2025-05-13: “A few days before the end of the trial, I canceled my unstarted subscription. They made it very hard to quit, but eventually I managed to go to the last step, and clicked the button which would end my unstarted subscription (since I had to enter payment details up front.) However, these people still withdrew the money from my account.” Another, 2024-12-11: “They have been trying for 2 weeks to charge me $395 from my card after I cancelled my subscription.”

On value at the entry price, a Trustpilot reviewer on 2025-02-10: “No Value for Money. Poor user interface. Very expensive for what is offered.” And on the shared winners feed, 2025-05-25: “all items on here are already massively sold- its a price race to the bottom” — a structural point rather than a defect, since a published daily pick is visible to every subscriber at once.

Set against that, the platform reports “40,000+ merchants” on its homepage (checked 2026-08-16), and its Trustpilot profile skews positive overall. The complaints concentrate in one place — the transition from trial to paid — rather than spreading across the product.

Sell The Trend Across Our Eight Dimensions

We evaluate every tool across eight dimensions: Accuracy, Ease of Use, Depth, Automation, Team Fit, Support, Pricing, and Stage Fit (see our scoring methodology ). This assessment weighs Sell The Trend’s published pricing grid and homepage claims (both read off sellthetrend.com on 2026-08-16) against public third-party reviews. It is not a controlled hands-on benchmark, and every judgement below is scoped to what the entry Lite plan actually contains.

  • Accuracy — Unverified from the outside. Whether NEXUS surfaces genuinely early products cannot be tested without an account. The one accuracy signal that is checkable is the vendor’s own copy: the pricing FAQ says the subscription “includes full access to all features”, while the grid immediately above it shows SellShop as not included on Lite.
  • Ease of Use — Contested. No usability problem is visible from the pricing page itself, but the two public complaints quoted above hit the interface (“Poor user interface”, 2025-02-10) and the cancellation flow (“They made it very hard to quit”, 2025-05-13).
  • Depth — Broad, then metered. Nineteen graded features plus a set of unmetered explorers is a wide bundle for $29.97. The depth is rationed rather than removed: 10 NEXUS searches, 5 Store Intelligence lookups and 5 Facebook Ads Finder lookups per day on Lite.
  • Automation — Manual at the entry price. 1-Click Push To Store and 1-Click Order Fulfillment run on every tier, but Bulk Order Fulfillment is Pro-only and both Automatic Order Update and Dynamic Pricing start at Essential. Lite is one order and one status refresh at a time.
  • Team Fit — Single operator only. Staff Accounts reads “Not Included” on all three published plans, and Connected Stores stays at 1 through Essential. There is no seat to give a VA on any tier shown.
  • Support — Included everywhere, untested here. 24x7 Support is listed as unmetered on all three tiers. The public complaints we found concentrate on billing and cancellation handling rather than on product support response.
  • Pricing — Transparent grid, thin safety net. Three plans, no $0 tier, and a feature-by-feature comparison table that answers most questions without a sales call. Against that: no money-back guarantee and no refund policy on the pricing page, a card required at signup, and automatic conversion at the end of the 14-day trial.
  • Stage Fit — Beginner with one store. Lite is honestly scoped for a single low-volume storefront sourcing from AliExpress or CJDropshipping. Anyone who needs TikTok research, bulk fulfilment or a second store is looking at $99.97/month, not $29.97.

Who Lite is enough for

Lite at $29.97 is enough if you already run one store, you source from AliExpress or CJDropshipping, your order volume is low enough for one-at-a-time fulfilment, and you are willing to hunt products yourself inside ten NEXUS searches a day. That is a genuine beginner configuration and the plan is honestly scoped for it.

Go to Essential at $49.97 if the daily caps are what stops you, or you need the store builder, dynamic pricing or supplier finder. Note that you still get one connected store.

Go to Pro at $99.97 if you need TikTok ad or TikTok Shop research, bulk fulfilment, or more than one storefront. There is no cheaper route to those three.

Skip it if you only want one module. Paying for four to open one is the recurring theme in the complaints, and the module-by-module replacements are laid out on our Sell The Trend alternatives page, which sorts by which part of the bundle you actually use. If you sell on Amazon rather than a Shopify store

Sell The Trend’s homepage lists an “Amazon Marketplace Integration” described as “Sell and manage products on Amazon using Sell The Trend” (checked 2026-08-16), and an Amazon Trend Explorer is included on all three tiers. But the platform’s centre of gravity is Shopify-style dropshipping: NEXUS indexes AliExpress and CJDropshipping supply and social ad demand, not Amazon’s catalog. It will not tell you an ASIN’s FBA fees, its Buy Box competition, or its search volume.

For that job the tools are different, and they are compared on our Amazon product research workflow hub. At $0, AMZBase is a reasonable first stop — a free Chrome extension that overlays ASIN, BSR and price-history links on Amazon pages “while also calculating FBA fees to estimate your potential profits” (amzbase.com , checked 2026-07-27). It is an overlay with fee maths, not a searchable database, so it complements a research tool rather than replacing one.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Sell The Trend, really? Three plans as of 2026-08-16: Lite $29.97/month ($19.97 billed yearly), Essential $49.97/month ($32.97 yearly), Pro $99.97/month ($66.64 yearly). There is no $0 plan. The $39.97 figure circulating in third-party write-ups does not appear on the vendor’s pricing page today.

Does Sell The Trend have a free plan? No. It has a 14-day free trial that requires a payment method at signup, and converts to a paid plan automatically if you do not cancel (sellthetrend.com FAQ, checked 2026-08-16).

What is NEXUS limited to on the cheapest plan? 10 uses per day on Lite. Essential and Pro both list it as Unlimited.

Which features are Pro-only? TikTok Ads Finder, TikTok Shop Products Finder, Bulk Order Fulfillment, three connected stores, 1,000-product imports, and video ads creation with video assets. Everything else on the grid is available at Essential or below.

Is Sell The Trend worth it for Amazon sellers? Only at the edges. Its Amazon Trend Explorer and Amazon integration exist on all tiers, but its data is dropshipping supply and social ad demand, not Amazon catalog economics. See our product research workflow guide for tools built on Amazon’s own data.
