Two things matter for the comparison that follows. First, the ceiling is per file, not per month — a 250,000-line supplier catalogue is three uploads on the paid plan and simply impossible on the free one. Second, the pricing page itself does not break the risk flags out by tier. Scan Unlimited’s homepage names them individually: Restriction Check (“Identify if an ASIN or brand is currently restricted before sourcing”), IP Complaint Check (“Identify products where the brand is known to file IP complaints”), Hazmat Check and Amazon as Seller (scanunlimited.com, checked 2026-08-27). That flag set is the reason the tool is still worth comparing against, and it is the column most of its rivals cannot fill.

Every vendor on this list will tell you it is faster and cheaper. Paid plans are Growth at $49/month, or $40.83/mo billed annually (“Unlimited scans every month”, “Up to 1 million products per month”, one team member) and Scale at $69/month, or $57.50/mo billed annually (“Unlimited usage”, “Full API access”, up to 3 team members), both annual tiers labelled “Save 17%”. Sourcing note: rocketsource.io answers plain command-line requests with a Vercel bot challenge (HTTP 429), so its pricing page was read in a full browser session instead — HTTP 200, page title “Rocket Source Pricing | Best Amazon Supplier File Scanner”, read 2026-08-27. Its published feature list carries a Brand Blocklist but no bulk restriction or ungating check.
Analyzer.Tools publishes the strongest gating feature on this page and the weakest limit disclosure. Its FAQ answers the limits question directly: “Do you have any restriction or limits on features or support? No. All subscribers get full access to every feature and unlimited support, regardless of which plan they choose” (sourcemogul.com/pricing, checked 2026-08-27). Two things to weigh: the price is in pounds, so your dollar cost moves with the exchange rate, and the product is pitched primarily at online arbitrage across “700+ UK & US retailers” rather than at wholesale files specifically.
Where the row limits actually bite
Read the ceiling column again and the tools split into three groups.
Metered by month. Ecom Circles Starter (5,000 items), Seller Assistant Pro (3,000 scans) and RocketSource Free (50,000 a week) all stop working at a defined line. For a seller opening two or three supplier files a month, the Seller Assistant Pro allowance is the tightest of the three — 3,000 scans will not clear one mid-sized catalogue.
Metered per file. Scan Unlimited is the clearest case: 100,000 rows per upload on the paid plan, 10,000 on the free one. This is the ceiling most likely to surprise you, because it does not appear until you already have a supplier file open. A 180,000-line distributor catalogue has to be split, scanned twice and re-merged in a spreadsheet.
Not metered, or not published. Analyzer.Tools, SourceMogul and the upper Seller Assistant and Ecom Circles tiers publish no rows-per-file ceiling. “Not published” is not the same as “none” — it means the limit, if there is one, is discoverable only after you pay. Ask in writing before you buy, particularly if your files run past a quarter of a million lines.
The practical rule: pick the ceiling that fits your largest regular file, not your typical one. Wholesale catalogues are seasonal and they grow.
Which of these check gating before you buy
This is the column that separates a scanner from a spreadsheet, and it is where the field thins out fast. Buying a case pack of a brand you cannot list is the expensive failure mode in wholesale — worse than a thin margin, because the stock is stranded rather than merely disappointing. Analyzer.Tools publishes the most specific claim: a bulk eligibility check for up to 20,000 ASINs at a time, returning “Selling Allowed, Approval Required or Not Eligible” per product. Seller Assistant publishes the most transparent metering: a Bulk Restriction Checker with a stated monthly ASIN allowance on every tier. Scan Unlimited names a Restriction Check, an IP Complaint Check, a Hazmat Check and an Amazon-as-Seller flag on its site, but does not publish a per-plan volume for any of them.
The other three — RocketSource, Ecom Circles and Tactical Arbitrage — do not publish a bulk gating check as a standard plan feature on the pages checked on 2026-08-27. Ecom Circles sells restriction filtering inside a $150/month add-on. That absence is not proof the capability is missing; it means you should ask before you buy, and it means anyone telling you these tools are drop-in replacements for Scan Unlimited is comparing on price alone.
Why sellers leave Scan Unlimited
Price is the stated reason and rarely the whole one. The public review record on Trustpilot clusters around three complaints, and they are worth reading before you assume a cheaper tool is a downgrade.
Throughput after the 2025 interface change. One 1-star reviewer (Trustpilot, 2025-01-20) wrote: “Since the latest update, which makes the user interface terrible, the upload function has also been throttled to the maximum. To upload a list with 100k lines, I previously had to wait about 25 minutes. Since the update, the upload takes all night. You also can’t cancel an upload to prioritise smaller lists.” The same review reports “Constant errors regarding Amazon fees. Regularly incorrect calculations.”
Support channel. A 2-star review (Trustpilot, 2025-01-17) reads in full: “Only customer service is by email, the worst. No chat, no phone calls.” Another (Trustpilot, 2022-09-17) reports “Files, from 3 different suppliers, stock @ 0% for days. And support barely reply messages and no reply emails at all.”
Price versus perceived value. The most recent 1-star review in our sample (Trustpilot, 2026-02-16) says simply: “Its way too overpriced for what it is, not worth it.”
None of that makes the tool unusable — the flag set is still one of the better ones in the category, and the free tier is more generous than most.
