Short answer: the right PiPiADS alternative depends on which part of PiPiADS pushed you out — the price you were quoted, the credit meter, or the fact that it only really covers TikTok.
- You want the same job done for less → Dropispy, with a free tier at $0.00/month and Premium at $29.90/month (dropispy.com, checked 2026-08-08), also metered in credits.
- You need TikTok and Meta and Shopify shops in one index → Minea, at $49 / $99 / $199 per month (minea.com, checked 2026-08-09).
- Meta is where your category actually moves → AdSpy, one flat plan at $149 per month (adspy.com, checked 2026-08-09), Facebook and Instagram only.
- You need a swipe file, not a search box → Foreplay, from $59/month with a “7 Day Free Trial” and “No credit card required” (foreplay.co, checked 2026-08-09).
- You want products, not creatives → Ecomhunt, from $23/month (ecomhunt.com, checked 2026-08-09).
- You want to spend nothing → TikTok Creative Center and the Meta Ad Library, which every paid index reads from.
- You sell on Amazon and want Amazon ad data → none of these index Amazon Sponsored Products. Skip to the last section.
Every price below comes from the vendor’s own pricing page on the date shown, with promotional and standard columns kept apart. How we score tools is documented on the scorecard methodology page.
Three reasons sellers look for a PiPiADS alternative
1. The price you were quoted may not be the price others were quoted. PiPiADS runs two parallel membership generations, and the number you remember depends on when you signed up. More on that in the next section — it is the single biggest source of confusion in this search.
2. Credits, not searches. PiPiADS meters usage in credits. Its Basic card states “Cost 1 credits / data” and “Cost 20 credits / detail” (pipiads.com, captured 2026-08-08), so opening a full ad detail costs twenty times what listing it costs. A 30,000-credit allowance reads as generous until a research session is priced in detail views rather than scrolls.
3. Billing friction reported by users. Trustpilot reviewers return to the trial-to-paid transition repeatedly. One reviewer wrote: “Misleading trial, charged $155. Customer service unresponsive via email.” (Trustpilot, 2023-12-04). Another: “They charge you right after the trial period ends without authorization, and their customer support is completely unresponsive.” (Trustpilot, 2024-12-03). A 2025 reviewer described the data instead: “The Facebook data is outdated and unreliable, with a large but messy library that’s hard to navigate. TikTok was slightly better, but I kept seeing the same ads every day” (Trustpilot, 2025-04-06). These are user reports we have not independently verified, and Trustpilot pages for tools in this category attract both unhappy customers and misdirected complaints — one 1-star review in the same set is about an undelivered face mask, not the software.
What PiPiADS costs in August 2026
The current public pricing page is headed “Flexible plans that grow with you (2.0v)”. Four options appear on the monthly toggle, each with a struck-through list price next to a lower promotional price and a running “Flash Sale” countdown.
AI browser test (2026-08-09, automated public-page capture, not long-term human use) of pipiads.com/pricing:
| Plan (2.0v) | List price | Price shown | Credits | Users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $69/mo | $49/mo | 30,000 | 1 |
| Advanced | $159/mo | $99/mo | 100,000 | 1 |
| Enterprise | $1,999/mo | $900/mo | 1,000,000 | 10 |
| Flexible | — | from $180/mo | 200,000 (slider) | 2 (slider) |
The page also carries an “Annually” toggle labelled “Save 30%”.
Two things are worth knowing before you budget against that table.
The countdown is not a deadline. AI browser test (2026-08-08, automated public-page capture, not long-term human use): the same page captured a day earlier showed the identical Flash Sale timer value at load, and identical prices. A countdown that reads the same on two different days is a per-session timer, not a sale that ends. Budget against the $69 list price, and treat $49 as a discount that may or may not persist.
Older subscribers are on different plan names. Third-party review and coupon sites reporting on PiPiADS in 2026 describe a legacy “1.0v” generation — plans named Starter, VIP and PRO, quoted around $77, $155 and $263 per month — closed to new signups after a subscription-model change. We could not confirm any of this on pipiads.com; the live pricing page shows only the 2.0v plans above, so treat the legacy numbers as third-party information. It does explain two things, though: why “$77/month” is the figure many people remember, and why the “$155” that appears in several Trustpilot billing complaints is a plan price rather than an arbitrary charge.
Quick comparison: what each alternative actually replaces

| Dropispy | Meta-focused | $0 free / $29.90 Premium | $14.90 annual column | Credits |
| AdSpy | Facebook, Instagram | $149 | none listed | Flat, “virtually unlimited” |

Minea: the closest like-for-like swap
Minea is the only paid tool here that covers the same TikTok surface as PiPiADS and adds Meta ads and Shopify shop data in the same subscription. Its plans are Starter $49, Premium $99 and Business $199 per month, quoted at $39, $79 and $158 per month on quarterly billing (minea.com, checked 2026-08-09).
The meter is different in kind, which matters when you are switching. Minea limits AI analyses and transcripts per month — 10 each on Starter, 50 each on Premium, unlimited on Business — and notification tracking is capped by number of shops (1, 10, unlimited). If PiPiADS’s credit burn was your problem, check whether those caps bind on your workflow before assuming the swap is an upgrade.
Our Minea review documents what the Starter tier leaves out, and the Minea alternatives comparison covers the rest of that shortlist. Minea is a dropshipping and ecommerce tool, not an Amazon one — a distinction that matters for the last section.
Dropispy: the cheap seat, on the same meter
Dropispy is the low-cost option people shortlist when the objection to PiPiADS is purely the invoice. Its site lists a Free tier at $0.00/month, Premium at $29.90/month with 150,000 credits per month ($14.90/month on the annual column, labelled “-50%”), and Business at $249.90/month with 1,800,000 credits (dropispy.com, checked 2026-08-08).
Note what the credit figures do to a naive price comparison: Dropispy’s Premium tier lists five times the monthly credits of PiPiADS Basic at under half the promotional price. Credits are not interchangeable units across vendors, so that is not a like-for-like ratio — but it does mean the sticker price alone tells you very little. Dropispy’s coverage is also Meta-weighted, so it is a downgrade rather than a swap if TikTok is your traffic source. See our Dropispy review for the detail.
AdSpy and Foreplay: when TikTok is not the bottleneck
AdSpy takes the opposite structural position to PiPiADS: no tiers, no credits, no countdown. Its site states “We offer virtually unlimited usage for just $149 per month!” and describes itself as “the largest searchable database of Facebook and Instagram ads in the world” (adspy.com, checked 2026-08-09). No free trial is advertised. Coverage is Facebook and Instagram only — narrow by design. If your category moves on Meta traffic and result quality rather than result count is your bottleneck, that narrowness is the product.
Foreplay answers a different complaint. Ad databases are search tools; creative teams need a library. Foreplay is built for saving ads into a swipe file, grouping them into briefs and tracking brands over time. Pricing is Basic $59/month (1 seat, $20 per extra), Workflow $175/month (5 seats) and Agency $459/month (10 seats), with annual billing at $49, $149 and $389 per month and a custom Enterprise tier; a “7 Day Free Trial” with “No credit card required” is advertised (foreplay.co, checked 2026-08-09).
Its named sources are revealing: Meta Ad Library, Instagram Organic, TikTok Ad Library & Top Ads, TikTok Organic, LinkedIn Ad Library, YouTube Shorts, and Google Transparency Center marked “Coming Soon” (foreplay.co, checked 2026-08-09). That list means Foreplay is largely an interface over the platforms’ own public libraries — fresh data, but not the tool for digging up ads that stopped running two years ago.
Ecomhunt: a product database instead of an ad database
Some people searching for a PiPiADS alternative do not actually want ad data. They want the output that ad research is a means to: a shortlist of products worth testing. Ecomhunt sells that directly — a hand-curated feed described in its own words as helping you “Find winning products to sell on your online store.”
Pricing is Basic $23/month ($279 billed yearly), Pro $39/month ($468 yearly) and Suite $49/month ($588 yearly), with a “30 day money-back guarantee” (ecomhunt.com, checked 2026-08-09). The tiers gate volume rather than features: 50, 80 and 120 live trending products, and 10, 100 and 500 tracker sessions respectively.
The trade-off is directional. A curated list is faster and cheaper than a spy tool, and it is also a list that every other subscriber sees on the same morning. Ad databases at least let you look where nobody else is looking. Our Ecomhunt alternatives comparison and FindNiche review cover the rest of that shelf.
The free layer most people skip
Every paid tool in this comparison sits downstream of the platforms’ own libraries. TikTok publishes a Creative Center with a Top Ads section; Meta publishes an ad library covering ads running across its apps. Both are free, and both are by definition the freshest possible source — a third-party index can only be as current as its last crawl. TikTok’s Top Ads listing renders without signing in, filtered by Region, Objective, Ad Language, Ad Format and Likes, with no spend filter and no shop filter (ads.tiktok.com, checked 2026-08-08).
Those five filters are the whole control surface — worth naming precisely, because the gap between them and a paid index is exactly what you would be buying. What you give up is structure: no cross-network view, no saved swipe files, no filtering by estimated spend, no shop attribution. The honest test before paying for any PiPiADS alternative is an hour in the free libraries first. If that hour produces the creative angles you needed, the $29–$149 a month buys convenience rather than information. If you hit a wall — cannot sort by spend, cannot save, cannot see the Shopify shop behind the ad — that wall is precisely what the paid tools sell.
If you sell on Amazon, none of these index Amazon ads
This is the mismatch Amazon sellers hit hardest. PiPiADS, Minea, Dropispy, AdSpy and Foreplay all index social ads. None of them index Amazon Sponsored Products. If the question is “which keywords are my competitors bidding on inside Amazon,” this entire category is the wrong shelf, at any price.
SmartScout is the Amazon-side answer, at $29 Basic / $97 Essentials / $187 Business per month, or $25 / $75 / $158 billed annually, plus a custom Enterprise tier (smartscout.com, checked 2026-08-08) — but be precise about which tier carries the ad data. Its plan comparison table marks Search Terms Ad Spy as Enterprise-only, and the Enterprise card is where Competitor Ad Data and Competitor Ad Spend are listed. The $187 Business card lists no Ad Spy feature at all. Our SmartScout alternatives comparison covers cheaper routes to the non-ad parts of that dataset.
Where social ad research does pay off for Amazon sellers is external traffic: finding the creative angle on TikTok, then running it to a listing. Our guide to Amazon and TikTok advertising covers the campaign side, and BigSpy alternatives compares the same tool set from the cross-network angle.
One adjacent tool worth naming, because ad research usually ends in a creative brief: ASINCrate is a Chrome extension that bulk-downloads a competitor’s Amazon listing images and video into a ZIP with hi-res originals and CSV metadata. It works only on Amazon product detail pages, not on ad libraries. Single-image download and URL copy work without an account; bulk ZIP, CSV export and unlimited video downloads are on its Pro plan at $9.99/month monthly or $49.99 billed annually (asincrate.com, checked 2026-07-27).
How to switch without paying twice
- Export before you cancel. Whatever you saved inside PiPiADS — tracked ads, shortlists — leaves with the subscription. There is no portability standard in this category.
- Time the cancellation, not the signup. The recurring complaint in the reviews above is being charged at the trial boundary. Cancel first, evaluate the replacement on its own trial afterwards.
- Run one identical query in three places — the free TikTok Creative Center, the tool you are leaving, and the candidate — using your best-performing product as the search term.
- Check the meter in week one, not month three. On any credit-metered tool, do a normal research session and read the balance afterwards. That single number decides whether the entry tier is real. On PiPiADS Basic the published rates make that easy to sanity-check before you even sign up: at 20 credits per detail view, a session with twenty detail expansions is about 400 credits against a 30,000-credit monthly allowance, so the real question is how many such sessions your week contains. We have not run that session on a paid Basic seat — this is the arithmetic to run on your own workflow, not a measured figure.
FAQ
Is there a free PiPiADS alternative? Yes, two kinds. The platforms’ own libraries — TikTok Creative Center and the Meta Ad Library — are free and are the source paid indexes read from. Among paid tools, Dropispy lists a Free tier at $0.00/month (dropispy.com, checked 2026-08-08), which is the only free entry point on this list.
Which PiPiADS alternative is cheapest for TikTok data specifically? Minea at $49/month is the cheapest paid tool here that indexes TikTok ads alongside Meta (minea.com, checked 2026-08-09). Dropispy is cheaper but Meta-weighted, and AdSpy does not cover TikTok at all.
Why do different sites quote different PiPiADS prices? Because there are two membership generations. The live pricing page on 2026-08-09 shows only the “2.0v” plans ($69 list / $49 promo through $1,999 list / $900 promo). Figures such as $77 or $155 per month come from third-party reports of an older, closed generation, which we could not verify on pipiads.com.
Do any of these track Amazon Sponsored Products? No. All the ad spy tools compared here index social networks. SmartScout carries Amazon competitor ad data, and its comparison table places Search Terms Ad Spy on the Enterprise tier only (checked 2026-08-08).
