Short answer: looking for an Egrow alternative in 2026 is not a comparison exercise, it is a migration. On 2026-08-11 we could not reach egrow.io or app.egrow.io at all, and www.egrow.io returned a Cloudflare origin error. Of the tools that are actually running, SmartScout is the only one that publishes both how its sales estimates are calculated and a numeric accuracy self-claim; Jungle Scout at $29/month billed annually is the closest like-for-like swap at Egrow’s old price point; Helium 10 is the only suite here with a permanent free plan; and Keepa is the only option that records what happened instead of modelling it.
That axis is deliberate. Egrow’s review record is dominated by complaints about wrong numbers, so replacing it on feature count would repeat the mistake. This page ranks on data fidelity — where each tool’s numbers come from and what the vendor will state about them. Every price below was read from the vendor’s own pricing page on 2026-08-11.
Egrow is not reachable, so start with your billing
Here is exactly what we found on 2026-08-11, checked from our own machine:
| Property | Result on 2026-08-11 |
|---|---|
egrow.io | TLS connection fails — no response |
app.egrow.io | TLS connection fails — no response |
www.egrow.io | Cloudflare error 1016, “origin DNS error” |
blog.egrow.io | HTTP 200 — the old marketing blog is still served |
egrow.com | HTTP 200, but a different company — the page title begins “eGrow — Operations Platform for COD E-commerce” |
Error 1016 means Cloudflare still answers for the hostname but cannot resolve the origin server behind it: the DNS entry is alive, the application is not. We found no shutdown notice on any Egrow property we could still reach, so this is the observed state, not a confirmed corporate decision.
The practical consequence is a billing one. Egrow’s review history contains repeated reports of subscriptions that kept charging after the customer tried to stop them, including “I can’t cancel my subscription even after mailing customer service” (Trustpilot, 2024-10). With the vendor’s account pages unreachable, the cancellation path most people used no longer exists — cancel at your card issuer or PayPal instead. Our Egrow review holds the full complaint and billing record; this page only covers where to move to, judged on where each replacement’s numbers come from.
For price context, our review corpus puts Egrow at a free tier plus roughly $59, $83 and $119 per month. Those archived figures we cannot re-verify, so treat $30–$60/month as the replacement target, not the $119 ceiling.
What actually failed: the numbers, not the features
Our review corpus holds 12 published Egrow reviews — 8 from Trustpilot and 4 from a software directory — dated 2021-07 to 2024-11. It is built from critical reviews by design, so it shows what went wrong, not how often. The clustering is unusually consistent for a research tool, and it is not about missing features.
Estimate quality is the recurring theme. The directory review, otherwise positive, flagged the core mechanic: “BSR and expected sales figures can be either delayed by a day or not entirely accurate”. Paying users put it less gently — “Not accurate data, always error during search!” (Trustpilot, 2024-11) and “the website had a lot of glitches and shows very inaccurate data” (Trustpilot, 2021-10). The same directory review summarised the product as one where “the platform feels a bit rough around the edges”.
Two things follow. A cheap research tool is only cheap if its numbers are usable; a $59/month subscription that sends you into the wrong niche costs far more than the subscription. And “delayed by a day” and “not accurate” are different defects — refresh cadence versus estimation model — and a replacement can fix them separately.
How to judge data fidelity before you subscribe
Every Amazon sales figure you have seen is one of two things: a measurement of something observable, or a model output converting Best Sellers Rank into units. Vendors rarely make the distinction obvious. Four questions force it open, and all four fit inside a trial or refund window.
- Is this number measured or modelled? Price, offer count and BSR are observable — a tool either recorded them or it did not. Monthly units and revenue are almost always modelled from rank.
- Does the vendor publish the method? A vendor that describes its mechanism in writing can be argued with; one that only shows testimonials cannot. Of the five tools below, SmartScout is the only one we found publishing both a mechanism and a number, on a page read 2026-08-11: “We create our estimate revenues based on Amazon best sellers rank and the category”, and “Our analysis shows that we are within 80-90% accuracy on most brands and products.”
- How often does it refresh, and does it say so? Egrow’s reviewers reported day-old BSR. SmartScout’s home page advertises a daily refresh of its ASIN database (checked 2026-08-11). Daily is the norm; if a vendor will not state a cadence, assume daily at best.
- What happens at the edges? Variations and rank-less products are where estimates quietly break. SmartScout’s accuracy page states it divides revenue across variations and notes roughly 5% of Amazon products carry no sales rank — those cannot be estimated by any rank-based model, at any vendor.
One caution on question 2: an “80-90% accuracy” figure is a vendor self-report with no published test set, not an audited error rate. It beats silence because you can falsify it against your own sales data. For the other four we found no comparable statement on the pages we checked on 2026-08-11, so any percentage a listicle attaches to them is unsourced until the vendor states it.
Run this test in week one: pick five ASINs in a category you already sell in, record each tool’s estimate, and compare against what you know. Fidelity is the one dimension you can verify yourself before the refund window closes.
The five live alternatives, scored
Every tool on amzfinder is assessed on the same eight dimensions — Accuracy, Ease, Depth, Automation, Team Fit, Support, Pricing and Stage Fit — described on our scorecards page . For an Egrow replacement, Accuracy and Pricing decide it. Scores reflect vendor pages read on 2026-08-11 plus published reviews, not a lab benchmark.
| Tool | Entry price (2026-08-11) | Publishes method? | Acc | Ease | Depth | Auto | Team | Supp | Price | Stage Fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jungle Scout | $49/mo; $29/mo annually | Not found | 4 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 4 | Foundation–Growth |
| Helium 10 | Free plan; $99/mo annually | Not found | 4 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 3 | Growth–Enterprise |
| SmartScout | Paid only — see note in §3 | Yes, with a figure | 4 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 2 | 3 | Growth |
| SellerSprite | $39/mo; $390/yr | Not found | 3 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 4 | Foundation–Growth |
| ZonGuru | $49/mo; $29/mo annually | Not found | 3 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 2 | 4 | Foundation |
“Not found” means we did not locate a published methodology or accuracy statement on the pages we read that day — not that none exists. Ask support before you rely on the numbers.
That column is the ranking. Four of the five sell a monthly unit figure without stating in public how it is produced; one states its mechanism and attaches a percentage you can hold it to. Feature lists do not separate these tools — each has a product database, a keyword lookup and a sales estimate — so the only question left is whether you can audit the number.
1. Jungle Scout — the like-for-like swap at Egrow’s price point
Replaces Egrow’s entire loop: product database, sales estimates, tracking and keyword lookup in one subscription, at the price band Egrow occupied.
Pricing (junglescout.com/pricing/catalyst-plans/, checked 2026-08-11): Catalyst billed annually is $29, $49 and $129 per month for Starter, Growth Accelerator and Brand Owner + CI — billed as $348, $588 and $1,548 per year. Month to month it is $49, $79 and $149. Product Tracker limits are 50, 150 and 2,000 products. Extra seats are “$49/month per seat (or $459/yr on an annual plan)”. There is a 7-day money-back guarantee and no free tier.
On fidelity: Jungle Scout is the most widely cross-checked estimator in the category because it is the most used, hence Accuracy 4 — but we found no published error rate on the pages we read on 2026-08-11. Pricing 4: the $29 annual entry lands under Egrow’s old Standard tier while replacing more of it. Support 3 reflects reports of upgrade pressure at the entry tier. The reverse move: our Jungle Scout alternatives roundup .
2. Helium 10 — evaluate before you pay
Replaces Egrow’s research module and adds keyword, listing, PPC and analytics tooling.
Pricing (helium10.com/pricing/, checked 2026-08-11): Platinum $129 month-to-month or $99/month billed annually; Diamond $359 or $279 annually; Enterprise from $1,499/month, billed annually. A Free plan exists — the pricing page states that “Access is limited with the Free plan, but the Platinum plan and above plans include full access to the Chrome Extension”. One boundary that trips people up: Platinum includes only limited profit reporting, and full Profit & Loss reporting sits at Diamond and above.
On fidelity: use the free plan for the five-ASIN test described above before committing. Depth 5 — nothing else here spans research, keywords, listings, ads and analytics in one login. Pricing 3, because the genuinely useful tier is $99/month annually, well above Egrow’s band. Our Helium 10 alternatives guide covers the reverse move. Sign-up: Helium 10 (affiliate link; see disclosure).
3. SmartScout — the only one that shows its working
Replaces Egrow’s product-level view and goes above it, indexing brands, sellers and subcategories rather than ASINs alone.
Pricing (smartscout.com/pricing/, checked 2026-08-11): four paid tiers — Basic, Essentials, Business and a custom Enterprise plan — with a discount for annual billing, a 7-day money-back guarantee and no free plan. We are deliberately not printing SmartScout’s figures. The page we read on 2026-08-11 carried two complete sets of price cards, one current and one older and cheaper, and we could not tell from outside which set a visitor is served — which is also why stale SmartScout prices keep circulating. Read the card the site renders for you, and check it again at checkout.
On fidelity: this is the reason SmartScout ranks here at all. Its accuracy page (checked 2026-08-11) is the one place in this comparison where a vendor states its mechanism and commits to a number, both quoted in full in the fidelity section above. It is a self-report rather than an audit, but it is the only falsifiable claim among the five. Accuracy 4, Support 2 — reviewers report that the entry plan shows less data than expected. More detail in our SmartScout alternatives breakdown .
4. SellerSprite — cheapest month-to-month suite
Replaces Egrow’s product database and keyword lookup, with deeper reverse-ASIN tooling, and it is the only tool here whose entry price sits under $40 without an annual commitment.
Pricing (sellersprite.com/en/price, checked 2026-08-11): Basic $39/month, Standard $79, Advanced $129, VIP $189. Annual plans are $390, $790, $1,290 and $1,890 — roughly a 16% saving. There is a 3-day free trial of the monthly plan and no permanent free tier.
On fidelity: we found no published accuracy statement on the pages read that day, so Accuracy scores 3 — serviceable, unverified. Ease 3: the interface is dense and the learning curve is the steepest here. Pricing 4, because $39 month-to-month with no annual lock-in is the closest thing to Egrow’s original proposition, and after a vendor disappears mid-subscription, avoiding prepayment has obvious value.
5. ZonGuru — research-only tier for niche discovery
Replaces Egrow’s niche discovery and scoring at a comparable entry price, with a tier that excludes seller operations you may not need.
Pricing (zonguru.com/pricing, checked 2026-08-11): Researcher is $49/month, or $29/month billed annually ($348/year). Seller tiers scale with active SKUs: $79/$49, $159/$99 and $249/$159 monthly versus annual-per-month. All tiers include a 7-day free trial with no payment required up front.
On fidelity: Accuracy 3, again for lack of a published statement. The tier trap matters more here: Researcher does not include Keyword Tracker, so if rank tracking was part of your Egrow routine, your real entry price is the Seller tier at $49/month annually. The genuine no-card trial makes ZonGuru the cheapest way to run the five-ASIN comparison test. See our ZonGuru alternatives page for the reverse move.
Keepa: the measured baseline, deliberately outside the table
Keepa is out of the price table for a reason worth stating plainly: on 2026-08-11 keepa.com returned HTTP 200 but served a JavaScript shell containing no price text, so we could not read its current figure from the vendor’s page. Rather than reprint a number from a listicle, we left it out. Its paid tier is billed in euros, which adds an FX line for USD sellers — check the figure on the site before subscribing.
It still belongs in the conversation, because Keepa answers question 1 differently: it records observed price, offer and Sales Rank history rather than modelling units from rank. There is no estimation error to audit because there is no estimate. It will not do niche discovery, so it is a companion rather than a replacement — but if the only Egrow screen you used was the history chart, that job costs far less alone. See our Keepa profile and Keepa alternatives .
Which one replaces Egrow for you
- You want the same job at the same price → Jungle Scout Starter, $29/month billed annually.
- You will not prepay a year after being burned → SellerSprite Basic, $39 month-to-month.
- You want to test the data before paying → Helium 10’s free plan, then judge the $99/month annual tier.
- Estimate quality is the whole reason you are leaving → SmartScout, the only one publishing a method and a figure.
- You need niche discovery on a small budget → ZonGuru Researcher, $29/month annually, if you do not need rank tracking.
- You only ever used the history charts → Keepa, free tier, no account needed.
Whichever you pick, run the five-ASIN comparison inside the refund window. Our product research workflow guide maps the wider landscape by job, and the AMZScout alternatives roundup covers the same shortlist ranked by exit reason rather than by data fidelity.
FAQ: Egrow alternatives
Has Egrow shut down?
We cannot confirm a formal shutdown and found no company announcement. We can confirm that on 2026-08-11 egrow.io and app.egrow.io did not respond, www.egrow.io returned Cloudflare error 1016, and egrow.com belongs to a different company running a COD ecommerce platform.
I am still being charged for Egrow. What do I do? Cancel at the payment provider — card issuer or PayPal — rather than through the vendor, because the account pages carrying the cancellation flow are unreachable. Cancellation complaints appear in Egrow’s published review history back to 2021, so this is not a new failure mode.
What is the cheapest Egrow alternative? Free, if history charts were your real use case: Keepa’s charts cost nothing and need no account, and Helium 10 has a permanent free plan with limited Chrome extension access. Among paid research suites, Jungle Scout Starter and ZonGuru Researcher both sit at $29/month billed annually, and SellerSprite Basic at $39 is the cheapest month to month (all checked 2026-08-11). SmartScout’s entry price we could not pin down (see its section).
Which alternative has the most accurate data? No independent benchmark exists, and any article offering a ranked accuracy table without a test set is guessing. SmartScout is the only one of the five publishing both its method and a numeric self-claim, which makes it the only one you can hold to a standard. Test candidates against ASINs you already sell.
Can I export my Egrow data before switching? Not through the product — the application is unreachable, so there is no export path. ASINs and keywords from spreadsheets you exported earlier carry over to any of the five tools above; historical estimates do not, and would not be comparable across models anyway.
