The right A2X alternative depends on which A2X problem you are trying to escape. If it is price, Taxomate does the same settlement-to-QuickBooks job from $14/month. If it is paying a separate subscription per sales channel, Link My Books and Taxomate bundle multiple channels into one plan. If you need per-order detail instead of summarized payout journals, Synder posts transaction by transaction. If you are on QuickBooks Desktop or need real inventory sync, Webgility and Entriwise cover ground A2X does not. And if what you wanted was profit numbers rather than clean books, Sellerboard is a different category of tool at $19/month. All pricing here was checked against vendor pricing pages on 2026-07-27.
This is a software comparison, not accounting advice — revenue recognition and tax obligations are worth running past an accountant, as our Amazon FBA sales tax guide explains. Below, each alternative is mapped to the A2X complaint it answers, with current prices and dated user reviews.
What A2X actually does, and why sellers shop around
A2X sits between your marketplace payouts and your accounting ledger. In its own words, “A2X transforms uncategorized payout data into organized summaries that reconcile perfectly in QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or NetSuite,” and the company says it is “Trusted by over 13,000 ecommerce businesses and their accountants” (a2xaccounting.com homepage, checked 2026-07-27). For a full breakdown of what it does well, see our A2X review — this page assumes you have already decided to look elsewhere. Four complaints drive most of that looking.
Every sales channel is a separate subscription. A2X prices per channel: Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, eBay and PayPal plans start at US$29/month each, Walmart at US$79/month, and multi-channel plans start at US$89/month for two channels and 1,000 combined orders (a2xaccounting.com/pricing, checked 2026-07-27). A 2-star Trustpilot reviewer summarized it: “It’s super expensive for what it does. Very annoying that 2 subscriptions need to be paid for Amazon & Etsy” (Trustpilot, 2 stars, 2024-09-24). Capterra reviewers make the same point about multiple accounts, and note that switching regions means refreshing the Xero connection each time.
Support and billing complaints cluster at one star. The two most recent Trustpilot reviews in our corpus are both about support: “Poor customer service. I asked for help… No service once they get your money. beware” (Trustpilot, 1 star, 2026-06-19) and “No way of contacting and they just keep taking money… very poor service” (Trustpilot, 1 star, 2026-06-09). Older ones raise cancellation billing: “Joke of a software. Way overpriced and when you cancel they continue to charge you” (Trustpilot, 1 star, 2024-06-24). Capterra reviewers describe onboarding as slow, with simple questions taking days and different reps giving contradicting instructions.
Summarized entries are a design choice, not a bug — but not everyone wants them. A2X Core posts organized summaries per payout, which is what most bookkeepers want and what sellers needing order-level records in the ledger do not. If your use case is per-transaction reconciliation, you are fighting the product’s design rather than configuring it.
It is not set-and-forget. A G2 reviewer noted that Amazon constantly adds new classifications, so the mapping needs regular maintenance; another flagged that PayPal data for Shopify orders is not fully captured. Reviewers also report exports occasionally failing without an obvious reason.
None of that makes A2X a bad tool. It makes it a tool with four specific weak points, each with a cleaner answer somewhere else.
A2X pricing as of 2026-07-27, so you have a baseline
A2X’s Amazon plans scale by monthly order volume (prices in USD, excluding any applicable Canadian GST/PST/HST; a2xaccounting.com/amazon/pricing, checked 2026-07-27):
| A2X Amazon plan | Price/month | Order limit | Merchant IDs | History |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mini | $29 | Up to 200 | 1 | 3 months |
| Starter | $59 | Up to 1,000 | 1 | 12 months |
| Standard | $79 | Up to 5,000 | 1 | 24 months |
| Standard 10k | $159 | Up to 10,000 | 1 | Max available |
| Premium 15k | $229 | Up to 15,000 | 5 | Max available |
| Premium 50k | $579 | Up to 50,000 | 5 | Max available |
| Premium 100k | $1,039 | Up to 100,000 | 10 | Max available |
That table lists seven of A2X’s eleven Amazon tiers; four further Premium steps sit inside it — 20k at $289, 30k at $399 and 40k at $519 between Premium 15k and Premium 50k, and 75k at $919 between Premium 50k and Premium 100k (same page, checked 2026-07-27).
Multi-channel plans run separately: Multi 1K is $89/month for 2 channels and 1,000 combined orders, Multi 2K is $115 for 3 channels, Multi 5K is $169 for 4 channels, and Multi Premium 10K is $229 for 5 channels (checked 2026-07-27). The free trial gives full feature access and lets you post three settlements before you pay.
One fact before you assume A2X is the expensive option: at 5,000 Amazon orders a month it costs $79, cheaper than Synder or Webgility at that volume. The per-channel structure, not the per-order price, is what makes the bill grow.
The alternatives at a glance
| Tool | Fixes the A2X problem of… | Entry price (checked 2026-07-27) | Posts to |

Link My Books — the closest like-for-like swap
Fixes: Per-channel billing and the support complaint. Link My Books covers Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, Walmart, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce and Square, posts into Xero or QuickBooks Online, and prices by order volume × number of channels rather than one subscription per marketplace (linkmybooks.com, checked 2026-07-27). Best for sellers who like the A2X model — summary invoices per payout, matched against the bank deposit — but sell on more than one channel or want less manual tax handling.
Pricing (new signups, checked 2026-07-27): £18/month ($24) for 1 channel at 101–200 orders; £35 ($47) at 501–1,000 orders; £51 ($68) at 2,501–5,000 orders; £41 ($55) for 2 channels at 501–1,000 orders. Prices are quoted in GBP with the vendor’s own USD equivalents, and exclude VAT. Link My Books announced a price increase effective 2026-07-01 with existing customers notified separately, so these are new-signup rates and an existing subscriber’s invoice may differ.
What it does differently: It posts “clean summary invoices for each payout to Xero or QuickBooks in one click,” with an Autopost option, and automates tax rate allocation through VAT product grouping across “VAT, GST and Sales Tax” (vendor wording, checked 2026-07-27). It also tracks COGS and benchmarks against industry averages. The vendor says support is staffed by qualified accountants and bookkeepers — aimed at the A2X support complaint, though that is a vendor claim we cannot verify from outside.
Limitations: Two accounting integrations only — no NetSuite or Sage, so A2X wins if you are on either. One Amazon Merchant ID counts as one channel with unlimited marketplaces under it, so an EU-wide seller is not penalized but a seller with separate US and EU merchant IDs is. Volumes are assessed on a rolling average; overage triggers an automatic upgrade after an email notice, while downgrades are manual. Trial is 14 days with no card and 90 days of history; paid plans backdate up to 24 months. Our Link My Books review covers setup and tax mapping in detail.
Taxomate — the price answer
Fixes: Cost. At every volume band Taxomate undercuts A2X for the same core job, and its Multi-channel plan replaces A2X’s stack of per-channel subscriptions with one line item. Best for sellers under roughly 10,000 orders a month who want settlement summaries in QuickBooks Online, Xero or Wave without suite prices, and who are comfortable with a smaller vendor.
Pricing (checked 2026-07-27, monthly billing; annual saves 17%): Starter, 1 channel — $14 up to 200 orders, $24 up to 1,000, $44 up to 5,000, $79 up to 10,000, $139 up to 20,000, $199 up to 50,000. Multi-channel, unlimited channels — $27, $42, $58, $99, $170 and $299 across the same bands. A QuickBooks Inventory Sync plan runs $36 to $407. All plans include unlimited marketplaces, unlimited history, unlimited users, COGS tracking, and email, chat and 1:1 onboarding support.
The direct comparison: at 5,000 Amazon orders a month, A2X Standard is $79 and Taxomate Starter is $44 — a $420 annual difference for one channel. At 1,000 orders it is $59 versus $24.
Limitations: Taxomate’s own FAQ states that QuickBooks Online inventory sync “is still in beta” and tells sellers they do not need the inventory plan until the beta completes (checked 2026-07-27), so treat that tier as forward-looking rather than proven. Integrations stop at QuickBooks Online, Xero and Wave; no NetSuite path. The plan comparison lists Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Walmart and Etsy, with TikTok Shop and WooCommerce appearing in the site’s integrations menu. Trial is 14 days.
Synder — the per-transaction answer
Fixes: The summary-only design. If your accountant or your own reconciliation habit needs individual transactions in the ledger rather than one journal per payout, no amount of A2X configuration gets you there.
Best for: Multi-channel sellers running payment processors alongside marketplaces — Synder advertises 30+ integrations including QuickBooks Online, Xero and Puzzle, with NetSuite and Sage Intacct on higher tiers (synder.com/pricing, checked 2026-07-27).
Pricing (checked 2026-07-27): Basic $65/month ($52 annually) covers up to 500 sales transactions with 2 integration slots, daily imports and summary sync only. Essential starts from $115/month ($92 annually) and that base price includes 1,000 synced transactions, with additional volume billed separately up to the plan ceiling of 3,000 sales transactions a month; it adds unlimited slots, hourly imports, per-transaction sync and COGS/inventory features. Pro is from $275/month ($220 annually), base price including 10,000 synced transactions against a 20,000 ceiling; Pro Max from $599 ($480), including 20,000 against a 40,000 ceiling; Premium is custom-quoted. Synder’s own wording is that “the final price is tailored to match your monthly transaction syncing needs within the plan limits” (synder.com/pricing, checked 2026-07-27), so treat every figure above Basic as a floor, not the bill. Trial is 15 days, no card.
The catch worth pricing out: per-transaction sync — the feature that makes Synder an A2X alternative — is not on the entry plan. The real comparison is Essential from $115/month against A2X Standard at $79 — and that $115 floor buys 1,000 synced transactions, with the plan ceiling at 3,000, where A2X Standard allows 5,000 orders flat. You are paying more for detail, not volume.
Limitations: Transaction counting includes more than orders, so estimate high. Historical data is a paid add-on on Basic and Essential, Smart Rules are a paid extra on Basic and Essential (Pro includes 3, Pro Max 10; checked 2026-07-27), and extra users cost extra.
Webgility — the QuickBooks Desktop and operations answer
Fixes: Two gaps at once. A2X posts to QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage and NetSuite, so sellers still on QuickBooks Desktop need a different bridge — and A2X is a bookkeeping tool, not an inventory or order-management layer. Best for Desktop and Desktop Enterprise users, and anyone who wants inventory sync back to the storefront rather than just journals.
Pricing (checked 2026-07-27): QuickBooks Online/Xero — Pro $79/month ($69 annually) for 300 orders and 2 channels; Advanced $149 ($129) for 800 orders; Complete $349 ($299) for 1,500 orders, adding a dedicated accountant and monthly reconciliation guarantee; Complete Enterprise $749 ($599) for 5,000 orders and 5 channels. QuickBooks Desktop — Plus $139 ($109) for 500 orders; Advanced $249 ($199) for 1,000; Premium $499 ($399) for 3,000; Complete $749 for 5,000. Add-ons: data migration $200, extra channels $20/month, overages $10–$50. Onboarding is a free 1:1 session.
Limitations: Three to nine times A2X’s price at comparable volumes, with tight order allowances — 300 orders a month on the $79 Pro plan is a low ceiling for an FBA seller. Buy Webgility when you want the inventory and order sync, not as a cheaper A2X.
Entriwise — the inventory-depth answer
Fixes: SKU-level inventory accounting inside QuickBooks, including the parts A2X leaves to you: bundles with price allocation, multipack multipliers, and FBA returns, lost, found and damaged adjustments. Best for sellers with kits, bundles and multipacks that must land correctly in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, QuickBooks Online or NetSuite.
Pricing (checked 2026-07-27): Standard from $41/month ($490 yearly) at the entry band of up to 1,000 transactions per year, with 1 channel, 1 region, 1 user. Professional from $99/month ($1,190 yearly) adds unlimited channels, regions and users plus bundles, inventory multipliers, FBA returns tracking and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise support. Enterprise from $166/month ($1,990 yearly) adds FBA inbound and removals, ads analytics and real-time order flow; the NetSuite tier starts from $9,900/year. The entry band is quoted in yearly transactions, so price your own volume before comparing headline numbers. Channels: Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart and eBay. The trial imports one calendar month with no payment details, and Entriwise states that sellers earning below $1,000 monthly qualify for free subscriptions.
Limitations: Individual documents — true per-order posting — are Enterprise-only; Standard and Professional post documents summarized by day, so this is not the per-transaction fix. No Xero integration, and the pricing model takes more work to read than A2X’s.
Sellerboard — when you wanted profit numbers, not journals
Fixes: A common misdiagnosis. Some sellers install A2X hoping to see which SKUs make money, then discover it produces clean books for an accountant instead. If you want live unit economics, a bookkeeping bridge is the wrong tool.
Pricing (checked 2026-07-27): Standard $19/month ($15/month billed annually, $179/year) for up to 3,000 orders; Professional $29 ($23, $279) for up to 6,000 orders; Business $39 ($31, $369) for up to 15,000 orders with multi-account support; Enterprise $79 ($63, $759) for up to 50,000 orders. There is a one-month free trial with no credit card required.
Limitations: Sellerboard is not an accounting integration — it will not post entries to Xero or QuickBooks, so it does not replace A2X if your accountant needs reconciled ledger data. Many sellers run both; a $24 to $79 bridge plus a $19 dashboard still costs less than a suite. Our Sellerboard alternatives roundup and the analytics and reporting workflow guide cover that category.
What it costs at your volume
Same job — marketplace payouts into the ledger — priced at two common volumes (all figures checked 2026-07-27; monthly billing):
| Tool | 1,000 Amazon orders/mo | 5,000 Amazon orders/mo |
|---|---|---|
| Taxomate Starter | $24 | $44 |
| Link My Books (1 channel) | £35 (~$47) | £51 (~$68) |
| A2X Amazon | $59 (Starter) | $79 (Standard) |
| Synder (per-transaction) | $115 (Essential) | $275 (Pro) |
| Webgility (QuickBooks Online) | $349 (Complete) | $749 (Complete Enterprise) |
| Sellerboard (analytics only) | $19 | $29 |
Read it as a ladder of jobs, not a price ranking: Taxomate and Link My Books do A2X’s job for less, Synder does a different job — order-level detail — for more, Webgility does a much bigger job, and Sellerboard does an adjacent one that does not overlap at all.
Channel coverage is the fastest way to disqualify a tool
Check channel coverage before you compare features — this is where most shortlists collapse. As of 2026-07-27: A2X lists plans for Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, eBay, Walmart and PayPal; Link My Books adds TikTok Shop, WooCommerce and Square; Taxomate lists Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Walmart and Etsy on its plan comparison, with TikTok Shop and WooCommerce in its integrations menu; Entriwise covers Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart and eBay; Synder sells breadth, with 30+ integrations including payment processors.
TikTok Shop is the sharpest dividing line, and the tooling around it is younger and less documented than the Amazon equivalents. TokLedger is an independent comparison site covering TikTok Shop profit trackers, accounting bridges and fee calculators, with in-store prices and vendor claims checked rather than repeated — a useful cross-check if TikTok Shop is one of the channels forcing you off A2X.
How to switch without breaking your books
Switching an accounting integration mid-year is the part sellers underestimate. A safe sequence:
- Pick a clean cut-over date, ideally the start of a month or quarter, and let the old tool finish posting every settlement opened before it.
- Check the new tool’s history limit against that date. A2X Starter includes 12 months of history and Standard 24; Link My Books backdates up to 24 months on paid plans; Taxomate advertises unlimited history.
- Run both tools in parallel for one settlement and compare journal totals line by line before cancelling anything — fees, refunds, reimbursements and tax lines are where they will disagree.
- Rebuild your COGS mapping deliberately, because an imported mapping that looks right can still allocate to the wrong account; our guide to COGS for FBA sellers covers what the entry should contain.
- Cancel in writing and verify the charge stops. A 1-star A2X review above describes continued charges after cancellation — keep the confirmation and check next month’s statement.
How amzfinder compares seller tools
Every tool here is assessed on the same eight dimensions we use across the site — Accuracy, Ease, Depth, Automation, Team Fit, Support, Pricing and Stage Fit, with the method on our scorecards page . For an accounting bridge we weight Accuracy and Support heaviest: a tool that quietly posts a wrong tax line costs more than one that is awkward to configure, and the complaints pushing sellers off A2X are support complaints, not feature complaints. This page is a read of official pricing pages and dated public reviews, not a controlled hands-on benchmark. For the cost side of the same picture, see Amazon FBA fees ; if your problem is US sales tax filing rather than bookkeeping, TaxJar alternatives covers that category.
FAQ: A2X alternatives
What is the cheapest A2X alternative?
Taxomate, at $14/month for one channel up to 200 orders and $44/month at 5,000 orders — against A2X’s $29 and $79 at the same bands (checked 2026-07-27). Link My Books sits between them across the bands compared here — £18 ($24) at 101–200 orders up to £51 ($68) at 2,501–5,000 — on a single-channel grid that starts at £15 ($20) for 0–15 orders and runs to £180 ($239) at 20,001–25,000 (checked 2026-07-27).
Which A2X alternative posts individual transactions instead of summaries? Synder, on Essential and above, from $115/month for a base of 1,000 synced transactions; the $65 Basic plan uses summary sync, which A2X already does for less (checked 2026-07-27). Entriwise offers individual documents only on its Enterprise tier.
Is there an A2X alternative that supports TikTok Shop? Yes. A2X’s pricing page listed no TikTok Shop plan as of 2026-07-27, while Link My Books, Entriwise and Taxomate all list TikTok Shop support.
Which A2X alternative works with QuickBooks Desktop? Webgility, with dedicated Desktop plans from $139/month, and Entriwise, whose Professional tier and above support QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise (checked 2026-07-27). A2X’s own integrations are QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage and NetSuite.
Is A2X worth keeping if only price is the issue? Possibly. At $79/month for 5,000 Amazon orders it is mid-market, not premium, and it carries integrations the cheaper tools lack — Sage and NetSuite — plus a partner directory of accountants trained on it. If your accountant already works in A2X daily, the switching cost and a mis-mapped first month can exceed the $35/month you would save.
Disclosure: the Link My Books link on this page is an affiliate link and amzfinder may earn a commission at no extra cost to you; it is the only one here — A2X, Taxomate, Synder, Webgility, Entriwise, Sellerboard and TokLedger are linked without affiliate tracking. We do not accept paid placement or sponsored reviews, and commission does not affect the ordering: tools are grouped by the A2X problem they solve. Pricing was checked on 2026-07-27 against each official pricing page.
